The American movie The Endless is not completely boring or dumb, so some will like it. However, I thought any good ideas were lost in the excessive filler. Those ideas are lost because the movie is too talky, and the pace is too slow. It picks up occasionally when something peculiar is going on, and then it slows down again, which is just ridiculous, really.

An indie festival hit, The Endless is a thriller that is similarly interesting and engaging as, for example Inception, but
without explosions and with a budget equal the wages earned by Nolan’s cable guy in three days. Its clever script
arouses curiosity and makes the audience think more deeply than usual. The movie has a great atmosphere, which is
further enhanced by precise sound effects. [Sitges FF]
