The planet has suffered an environmental collapse; the air became dangerous to breathe, the water became toxic, and billions of people died. I really like Gina Carano, so I don't mind that the film isn't downright brilliant, because she gets plenty of space here. It's just a shame that her role doesn't have more action moments - she mostly gets by with the use of guns, which in her case just marks untapped potential. This film’s an interesting variation on the western.
