In the Szekler village a mother and her daughter liquidate the old house after grandmother's burial. An old book of grandma's is found in the attic, from which Mária often heard the fairy tale about Ibrinkó, a fairy who had turned into a real human being. King Rettegj (King Fear-Me), along with his wicked counsellor Kénozd, keeps the Szekler villages in terror, and since there are no suitors for his two ugly daughters, he has every girl locked up in jail. Marci associates with the other lads to free the girls, but they can only defeat the evil king and liberate the country if helped by the adopted fairy son of old Mózsi, that is, by Ibrinkó. Maria and her mother lock up the old house. As they leave, they can see an old man with a big moustache talking to the children about Ibrinkó. (Civis Film)
