The pace of the story was slower this time and there were significantly fewer action scenes, but I learned more about the McCullogh family's situation and the tense situation between the United States and Mexico. I realized that I had to remind myself several times per episode that most of the events take place in 1915, Texas is a bit lost in time here :-) 4*
