More than a few speed bumps follow and anyone seeking a gentle time in front of the television will, doubtlessly, be disappointed by the peddle-to-the-mettle menace and top-gear terror that this road-trip into terror presents. Great film, thanks Flipnic for the recommendation! Up until now I thought The Hitcher was the best hitch-hiking film, but now I stand corrected. Hitch-Hike is a brilliant and brisk thriller with superb performances and character development, as well as a surprising plot. The high rating by only a handful of users may give the impression that this is an obscure film not suitable for the average audience, but the opposite is true. It’s not pure exploitation trying to portray the worst type of perversion, nor is it very psychically demanding terror, it’s “just” a very well made and executed thriller with excellent music, too. Highly recommended. 9/10
