Duel for Nothing

The Török and Csaholy families are neighbours and are on friendly terms. Török Kata is Csaholy Gazsi's fiancée. They raise horses and dogs. Csaholy asks Török to bring him a pedigree a wire-haired fox terrier from his trip to Britain. Török does get the dog, but having taken quite a liking to the animal, he decides not to pass it on to his neighbour, therefore he spreads the rumour of the animal being now dead. Csaholy, however, finds out that Török has lied to him. They have an argument followed by a duel. The young couple's engagement is now past history. Kata finds refuge for the dog in the vicar place. He returns the dog only during the wedding party of Kata and Gyuri, when the conflict has ended. (jakelijan virallinen teksti)
