Madrid, August 2007. Curro is the only one arrested for the robbery of a jewelry store. Eight years later, his girlfriend Ana and their son are waiting for Curro to get out of prison. Jose is a solitary and reserved man who just does not seem to fit in anywhere. One morning he goes for a coffee at the bar where Ana and her brother work. That winter his life gets interwoven with the others' at the bar, who take him in as one of their own. This is especially the case with Ana, who sees this newcomer as an outlet for her distressing life. Having done his time, Curro gets out with the hope of starting his life with Ana over again. But everything has changed in just a very short time. (Venice International Film Festival)

englanti The Spaniards immediately enchanted me with the interesting camera that provides a view from the backseat of a car with a view of the driver. I think that I have never come across such an idea and it took very little for the camera to keep me in suspense. But after a promising start the film turns completely mediocre, which was salvaged by an occasional car ride. But if the car ride scenes are the best and the rest is mediocre, how else should I rate this movie? ()

englanti If France doesn't give a shit, the Spaniards must take over the revenge genre. They may not reach the intensity and brutality of the French, after all the Spaniards have always been interesting with their twists, atmosphere and mystery, but the effort is worth it. The film has an interesting protagonist, a gradual build-up and the revenge itself is not among the worst, but it doesn't pull the viewer out of their seat. I was slightly bothered by the TV look and the pacing could definitely use some punch, but it's decent. 65% ()

englanti A Spanish revenge flick. The very first murder - and actually, even the footage from the video camera - is quite brutal and probably won't leave you indifferent. The final climax isn't particularly excellent, but the uncertainty of the plot will compel you to watch every scene. ()
