A jet leaves on a red-eye flight from Los Angeles to Boston. But early in the flight, ten passengers awaken to a startling realization: All of the other passengers have vanished - and the ground below is only...ground. But once they manage to land the plane, the situation doesn't improve. The eponymous King's novella is not among the best of what the master of horror has ever produced, nevertheless the main problem of this film is the poor production and especially the cheap-looking tricks, which are a disgrace even for a television show. Worth mentioning in the cast is David Morse in the role of a pilot, otherwise it is a very average affair. Overall impression: 45%.
