Hannah is autistic, and due to her condition, unable to speak. When her sister (Angel) died, Hannah was forbidden to grieve by her abusive parents. This film has a quite good starting point as violence against children is always very challenging to watch and has an effect on the viewer, but the connection with paranormal elements and horror seems almost self-serving to me here. Mainly because it doesn't work and in the end, it's just a film about revenge, which is carried out through strange circumstances.
