When 18-year-old Lawrence is caught cheating on his final year math exam, he fails to get into medical school and is banished to stay at his goofy Uncle's house for the summer. By chance he meets 'The Professor'- a colourful aging conman who invites Lawrence to join him and his sharp-tonged daughter Sarah on a road trip. As they make their way across the country (leaving suckers in their wake), Lawrence learns the ancient art of the swindle from the Professor and from Sarah he learns the truth about love. Sort of like the Australian version of Screwed, which is nice because it combines different actors and their different senses of humor. And apart from all that, this movie has a number of original scenes, a good-looking girl and the great Timothy Spall, who’s trying to do everything he can to make sure we won’t simply remember his as the actor who was in Harry Potter. And so far, he’s been doing quite a good job of it.
