I still have the feeling that it's a parody of a crime story. With every additional idea from the screenwriters, the situation worsens. The creators constantly try to bring an atmosphere of mystery to every scene, but the result just seems silly. And when they don't know what else to do, they add a government conspiracy to spice things up. Hmmm, this is how Grandma used to cook. By the way, her son would probably make a better investigator than his mother, he tracked her down nicely from Paris.
