Anna

Anna is a slender and attractive woman with a free spirit, with long curly hair flowing in the wind wherever she goes. Anna is wild – she can dance on a table and drink tequila with men at a bar without batting an eyelid. Anna has enough emotions for several persons and it is impossible to argue with her – she does exactly what she wants. More than anything else in the world, she loves her little son Nathaniel over whom she has joint custody with the child's father.

One night, after Anna has dismissed the private teacher hired by Nathaniel's father, and wandered around the city for half the night with the boy, Nathaniel's father is no longer willing to suffer Anna's repeated promises "to be good", and threatens her with going to court. Anna does not take this seriously and a few days later again arrives at her ex-husband's door to take Nathaniel out. But this time the man is serious – he blurts out phrases like "two hours a week", "someone like you" and "meetings at a special institution", and Anna breaks. Just a few days later, she packs Nathaniel's things and decides to flee to her homeland, Columbia, with her son and new boyfriend. (Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival)
