Season 3 (2019) (S03)
Like the previous season, I'm giving this one four stars, although it is considerably weaker. It lacks the excellent atmosphere that I liked so much at the beginning of the series. Instead, it is filled with humor which didn't amuse me much and made me dislike Sheriff Jim Hopper. The creators turned him into a comic character, which I don’t think was a step in the right direction.

The opening episode had a slow pace, presumably so that the viewer could acclimate themselves after a year-long break, become aware of who is who, who is with whom, and where everyone actually is. But I'm sorry that the creators couldn't avoid the old-fashioned fashion trend again, so those disgusting Russians (currently Soviets) can be blamed for everything - shame on them! Hmm, a bit cheap...

Toinen luku: Ostarijengi (2019) (S03E02)
I am still waiting for the enthusiasm that I felt during the previous seasons to take hold of me. So far, the third season seems like a student romantic comedy with occasional elements of tension. I am completely scared of the moment when they will start to solve who should call whom first, and how many days must pass before that.

"Wow, those phone calls really did happen... As far as I remember, El always paid for every telepathic connection, and now she's only using her abilities for fun? A strange shift. I understand that the whole series is fiction, but the previous seasons were still more believable, especially when it comes to the character of an experienced cryptanalyst who makes a living selling ice cream."

Neljäs luku: Saunatesti (2019) (S03E04)
That by anyway? Only when watching the fourth episode of the third season did I once again have the feeling that I was watching Stranger Things. The creators finally ditched the lazy water in the blind reaches and got into proper rapids (the end of the paddling window). Seriously, for the first time in this series, I had the impression that something significant was happening, and I am already looking forward to the next episodes.

Viides luku: Nyljetyt (2019) (S03E05)
I really enjoyed the plot of the fifth episode and I wouldn't have a problem rating it five stars. However, the so-called comedic duo of James Hopper and Joyce Byers really got on my nerves. Seriously, the "humor" is pushed so hard here that it manages to spoil the otherwise well-made episode for me.

And what was that again? In the description of the episode it says Drama/Fantasy/Horror/Mysterious/Thriller, so why was it a bad comedy the whole time? The episode didn't have any atmosphere for me, there was no tension to consider, the evil Soviets could have appeared in a grotesque manner, etc., etc. 3*

Seitsemäs luku: Purema (2019) (S03E07)
The seventh episode was not bad at all and could have been even better if I didn't have a major problem with what ALIENka_ highlighted before me, so I refer to her comment to save a few sentences. Sheriff Hopper is the character with the worst development for me. I think it's a shame to let him degrade into a second-rate comedian/masochist.

Kahdeksas luku: Taistelu Starcourtissa (2019) (S03E08)
After watching the eighth episode, I was really upset by that disgusting game with emotions. It's something that always reliably disgusts me. I felt like giving it only three pieces in the rating, but my decision was overturned by Suzie and Dustin with their cover version of Limahl's hit song.
