Les Héritières

In 1936 the stinking rich but infertile Szilvia cunningly "buys" the beautiful, intelligent but poor Irén so that her good-looking military officer husband, who has made his career thanks to Szilvia, could make her pregnant and Irén give birth to a child who would be able to inherit the enormous wealth. Szilvia's plan, however, seems to fail: Ákos and Irén fall in love, Ákos abandons Szilvia, lives together with Irén and another child of their own is born. For Szilvia 1944 is the time for revenge: she reports Irén for her Jewish origin. Irén will be deported, Ákos vanishes, and both children fall victim to Szilvia. (jakelijan virallinen teksti)
