The life and faith of catholic prison minister Jakob Voelz is fundamentally troubled when his best friend and hieratical colleague Dominik Bertram is taken in custody under suspicion of sexual abuse. Jakob would be more than happy to believe Dominik is innocent. Yet, what Jakob is beginning to suspect becomes a crucial test for his faith and his self-conception as a priest: There is a truth we welcome and there is a truth we fear, about which we tend to fall silent. Jakob begins to turn against that silence within the church, in order to discover the truth. (Cinemax)

englanti Today’s times ask for the most shocking of premises and stories. And what else can you poke fun at today than the Church, which leaves in its wake a whole number of not very flattering stories caused by us, people. After the American movie Spotlight I got to meet another priest who was accused of sexual abuse. But as opposed to Spotlight, this film works with the idea of how easy it is to accuse somebody and how difficult it is to erase such an accusation. The topic is interesting, but the execution is incredibly boring and uninteresting. ()
