englanti The fact that the movie didn't bring anything new to the exorcism genre doesn't bother me, I feel like it's so exhausted that for it to have something new in it, aliens would have to come to exorcise the devil out of the American president or something... Except that even though I quite like the subject matter, this movie bored me beyond belief. It was only the process of the exorcism itself that was interesting, I thought it was very well done. The subsequent action with the pig was not so good. And all the slow motion before that didn't appeal to me at all; the film lacked momentum. It had some atmosphere, but unfortunately it couldn't draw me in. If you like Gang Dong-won and exorcisms of all kinds, definitely check it out. A better 2 stars. ()

englanti Unfortunately, the Koreans did not bring anything new in this case and are basically just looking at the classic theme of exorcism in their own incredibly Christian way. "The Devil's Backbone" definitely surpasses this film, especially when the afflicted character spews digital blood. A little disappointing, but Koreans are skillful filmmakers, which is still apparent in the film. ()
