Seven months pregnant, Jennifer Branagan reluctantly returns to her hometown in Kansas after an unexpected mental breakdown. Coping with her fears of motherhood, a strained relationship with her husband, Luke, and the overbearing presence of her own mother, Meredith, Jennifer struggles to regain control of her life. But when strange things start happening in their rental home, Jennifer begins to fear that it may be haunted. The horror film "The House on Pine Street" follows a fairly clear story structure and doesn't deviate much from it. On top of that, it has an overly long duration, which doesn't suit the film at all. Especially because it doesn't have much else to say. It drags on until it completely loses its atmosphere, and you just wish it would finally end because you know you won't enjoy it anyway. And indeed, you probably won't enjoy it.
