Portrait of an Animal Behavior

Juonikuvaukset(1)

A passionate marine biologist, Matto and a young woman, Martina, travel together in Brazil, looking for the world's smartest animals: dolphins. On their journey they discover their actions are all portraits of animal behavior.
Matto, a passionate marine biologist, goes to Brazil hoping to see dolphins, which he considers to be the most intelligent creatures on earth. He generally believes that humans owe their progress to the animal kingdom. Soon, he is joined by hitchhiking Martina who is on her way to Bahia, the birthplace of Tropicália, a unique Brazilian music style. It is where she hopes to get to know herself and the world better. They form a strange pair: she sleepwalks, he is capable of lying down in the middle of the street in swim briefs just to make his point. Their behaviour, their relationship... the similarities to animals are inevitable. (jakelijan virallinen teksti)

englanti It’s obvious that the movie was filmed by two incredibly deranged lunatics. On the other hand, I must say that I enjoyed their spontaneous trip to the fullest. Because it’s awfully easy to do as your brain tells you. But once you rebel against it, you certainly won’t be at a loss. Not all the time, but it’s not a bad idea every once in a while. The two charismatic authors Florencia and Gonzalo know a thing or two about this, because they put this sudden encounter together and made it fun with animal parallels. I loved it because I swear by these spontaneous little stories. They’re so memorable, just like they are in real life. ()
