I went into the first episode of War and Peace with concerns, I wasn't sure if the casting would be "Russian" enough, but I willingly admit that I was ultimately completely satisfied. The physiognomy of the selected actors/actresses didn't bother me at all and I was completely captivated by Paul Dano's appearance. I saw the typical Russian nobility of that time, I enjoyed the plot, I wasn't bored, so I just hope it stays that way until the end.
