Raivostunut sadanpäämies pyyhkäistä hullut gallialaiset ja heidän kylänsä maailmankartalta kertaheitolla. Mutta siihen hän tarvitsee taikajuomaa. Roomalaispartio lähetetään sieppaamaan tietäjä Akvavitix, mutta legioonalaisten epäonneksi Obelix osuu paikalle. Pelotellakseen roomalaisia hän heittää näitä hiidenkivellä, mutta kivi osuu suoraan Akvavitixin päähän! Sen seurauksena tietäjä menettää muistinsa ja unohtaa taikajuoman reseptin. A typical cheerful fairy tale, this time about how the druid Panoramix has gone completely mad and the dumb villagers have to face both the insistent Romans and a cunning soothsayer. And since we already know our two heroes well, it's not without roasted wild boar, a good beating and, of course, the wacky and omnipresent humour inherent in all Asterix adventures. 80%

This is one of those Asterix films that has quite good moments at times, with entertaining elements, but some parts are also utterly dull and uninteresting. I find the oracle to be the most uninteresting character, which is a bit of a problem because he's important to the story. Yet it was because of him that I didn't enjoy the film so much.

Definitely the gloomiest Asterix. The atmosphere of doom and destruction may be too real at times, especially when I consider that this is really a kid’s movie. The humor (which is one of the best things about the movie) is mainly thanks to Getafix, who suffers from amnesia after being hit by Obelix's menhir. If I remember correctly The Big Fight was actually my first Asterix movie (as for the comic books, “Asterix and the Golden Sickle" was excellent).
