I can't help but think it's one of the most cheesy films I've seen in a long time. The romance is portrayed so unbelievably foolishly and sentimentally that I never once felt it could be Whitney Houston. Except maybe when there was singing. But the relationship is presented so incredibly naively, not only because she was obviously naive, but also from a filmmaking point of view. I couldn't stand watching it because it was so dumb.

It's much better than I Wanna Dance with Somebody. It's still not entirely great, but it's decent. Even the relationship with Robyn Crawford is not really suppressed here, so the only reason someone might want another Whitney biography is to bring that material to the movie theater.
