Koudelka Shooting Holy Land

'When I see a place and realise there's a photo waiting for me, I go back as often as it takes to get it,' says famous Czech photographer Josef Koudelka. This serene, focused film portrait of the artist, renowned for his shots of the 1968 Warsaw Pact invasion in Prague, was made by his assistant, the Israeli photographer Gilad Baram. He tracked Koudelka's creative endeavours for 5 years, as the photographer returned to Israel many times to capture the landscape and the rising wall between Israel and Palestine. The film compares the creative process to the finished product and tries to answer the question of how a good photo is made. (One World)
