I would rename The Diary of a Teenage Girl to The Diary of a Nymphomaniac or a Prostitute. It would better capture the point of the movie, which is nothing more than a typical American drama with a few cartoonish ideas inserted into a live-action movie.

I have to admit that this is a film that I liked a lot. Not only because it's about sex, but also about how problematic it is if you fall for it. And also because it's kind of about comics. The individual actors were absolutely brilliantly chosen, which I have to appreciate first and foremost. Bel Powley can really look like she's 14, even though she's 23.
