I would rename The Diary of a Teenage Girl to The Diary of a Nymphomaniac or a Prostitute. It would better capture the point of the movie, which is nothing more than a typical American drama with a few cartoonish ideas inserted into a live-action movie.

I must admit that I really liked this movie. Not only because it is about sex, but also because it shows how problematic it can be if you get caught up in it. And also because it's kinda about comics. The individual actors were absolutely brilliantly chosen, which I have to appreciate first and foremost. Bel Powley really managed to look like she's 14, even though she is 23.
