Molly Hartley (Sarah Lind) is all grown up, but the unholy demon inside her lives on in this sequel to 'The Haunting of Molly Hartley.' Six years after graduating high school – and discovering that a secret pact assigned her soul to the devil – Molly is suspected of murder and confined to a mental hospital, where she wreaks supernatural havoc on the staff and patients. A brutal exorcism B movie, which is off to a terrible start, but after the opening drinking scene in the bar the quality thankfully increases. Moreover, I liked that the film didn’t satisfy itself with the exorcism itself, and tried to be more ambitious than that. A nice B movie chill-out with everything it entails.

The Exorcism of Molly Hartley is another exorcism horror film that just confirms to me that this subgenre has been essentially dead since The Exorcist was made. There's nothing here that could surpass it, and there are only a few films that can at least somewhat compare to it. But The Exorcism of Molly Hartley is definitely not that, as it just rides the same wave but doesn't have any fancy special effects.
