Sami and Julie are an odd couple: Juli is an ambitous lawer, Sami a chilled our musician. Sittng on the balcony of the old peoples home, his best friend Fernand lives in, they smoke, drink and write the songs for their tour. As there is nothing moving forward, Juli decided to take a pause of the relationship. Helped by his old friend Fernand, Sami tries to make Julie realise that she is the love of his life. The Swiss film specialty are comedies that are not normal under any circumstances. Rather, they are very strange, and almost every time this strangeness holds me back from rating it with more than three stars. Once, it was about a family that lived by the highway. Other time, it was about a fat grandmother who had a terrible mess at home. Now it’s about artists who don’t know what they want. But perhaps I am too critical of the Swiss because I cannot shake the feeling that, as a nation, they have everything they can think of, and it is difficult for them to come up with something that could interest the rest of European nations. Anyway, I admit that the boy acted quite well. Still better than the best Swiss music gem – DJ Bobo.
