After her divorce, Allyson and her 9-year-old daughter Claire move into an old house outside the city. When Claire finds an old doll left in the house by the previous occupants, Allyson begins to see sinister changes in her daughter... When Allyson Simon separates from her husband Jonathan and moves with their 9 year olddaughter Claire to a big old house in the country, she learns that their realtor never told her about the fact that a brutal family murder happened there five years ago. As Allyson, and later Jonathan, discover to their horror, an evil South American doll has been left behind - the same doll that belonged to the 10 year old who killed his family - which eventually possesses Claire, turning her into a terrifying, murderous entity that neither Allyson or Jonathan can recognize as their little girl.
