Dangerous Acts Starring the Unstable Elements of Belarus

This provocative and critical theatre performance would evoke emotion in democratic countries let alone in totalitarian Belarus, constricted as it is by censorship and repression. The members of the Belarus Free Theatre, who must present their performances unofficially and in secret, experience this repression first-hand. Despite repeated threats, they are not afraid to address socially important issues such as sexual orientation, alcoholism and, of course, the political situation. Their criticism of the regime has led to the emigration of some of them from Belarus, where they continue to fight against Europe's last dictatorship.
