If I had to compare it to something, first of all, "The Prince Without a Kingdom" came to my mind. The fairytale style of Guillermo del Toro's films, where despite the apparent naivety he manages to bring out true horror from the story, would fit perfectly with this. I think it would also suit Peter Jackson. With Riccardo Paoletti, it is evident that he still needs a bit more experience, but otherwise, this is a very well-made film that caught my attention with its story, only the execution could be even more stylized. It would fit beautifully.
