Kullankaivaja Roger Hazard muuttaa suuren kyltaryntäyksen mukana Kalifornian kultakentille mukanaan 12-vuotias poikansa Casper. Rankan kaivoksilla raatamisen seurauksena Roger alkaa pikku hiljaa menettää otetta elämäänsä. Modern western, also known as "A Sierra Nevada Gunfight," which can boast the presence of John Savage or Michael Madsen. Well, let's face it, it's no longer the era of shootouts and honorable men, it is now probably the era of psychological westerns, but this one isn't too bad. It doesn't shine in terms of acting, but I like the story itself, it's somewhat in line with what I could have written. Not that I have any ambitions for a screenplay. I don't think this is the direction of contemporary westerns, from which others will follow, but it is a certain path that exists. If it didn't look so amateurish at first glance, it could easily deserve more.
