englanti For me the first half was like a drug I couldn't tear myself away from. Bit by bit the past was revealed and I really needed to know what the future would bring. But about halfway through, when most of the facts were revealed, I got quite bored in places. I found some scenes unnecessarily drawn out and stale. But there was always a little sun named Soo-jin and the enchantment was back. Of course, kudos to JG and the rest of the cast as well, I believed them. 4 stars. ()

englanti I didn't start watching this because I was intrigued by the cast, or because I was intrigued by what it was about. I started watching it because it was becoming popular in my country – mainly because of Ainna, who translated it. So I went into it with a clear head, uninfluenced by anything. At the beginning I didn't like the character of Jang Tae San very much, I found him very pathetic. But it got better with time (of course I deeply loathed the moments when he cried and begged). Which reminds me, it has a lot of crying (which Korean melodrama doesn't?). The action was okay, but nothing exceptional. The music was fine, sometimes it could carry you through the scene a lot better than the actor could. The story was interesting, well thought out; I really liked how at the end of each episode the little cutie pie ticked off the days left until her surgery. There were scenes that were suspenseful, that pulled the viewer into the action, nicely moving him in the process, but at the same time there were scenes that were barren, undeveloped, unnecessarily pressuring the viewer's soul (they didn’t move me, just prompted my cynical self to pop up and laugh at it), as well as scenes that contained all sorts of nonsense. For me it was an average suspense series, but I believe that it will be above average for a lot of people because they will get what I didn't get – heart-grabbing, sympathy. Because the series didn't tug at my emotional heartstrings at all. Still, I can easily recommend it if you're looking for a serial "crime thriller" with a cute little girl and a pretty mom. And of course if you're a fan of Lee Jun Ki, this is a must! :-D ()
