"The Return of Jafar" picks up where "Aladdin" ended, with the evil sorcerer Jafar trapped inside a magic lamp. As is customary with Disney sequels, the new film does not come close to the original. In direct comparison to the first installment, Jafar's return would have to receive an even worse rating, fortunately, Genie's one-man-show saves everything completely. However, this does not change the fact that the central plot of "you didn't tell me about the parrot, and therefore, I'm going away to mourn in the chamber" is unbelievably overcooked.
