Juonikuvaukset(1)

Walesilaiset parikymppiset nuoret Jip, Lulu, Koop, Moff ja Nina ovat arkisin työnantajiensa omaisuutta. He hymyilevät tiskinsä takana väkinäisesti minimipalkalla. Aina viikonloppuisin kaveriporukka löytää kuitenkin vapautensa: oman kielensä, oman mielensä ja ennen kaikkea oman vapaa-ajanviettotapansa. Kun perjantai koittaa, jää arkinen maailma kokonaan taakse. Viikonlopun ajaksi bilestämisestä tulee elämän ainoa tarkoitus. Seksiä, sekoilua, klubeja, teknoa, ecstasya. Estot pois ja täysillä elämään. (Future film)

englanti Human Traffic is a moderately provocative, very apt social comedy about stoned young Londoners. Rather than some sort of plot or grand message, it’s about capturing the stoned states, views on life and general modern obsessions of young people in the most believable way possible. It’s something like Trainspotting, but less artsy and serious. ()

englanti Provocative statement with amazing ideas (anthem), embellished dialogues (Star Wars), and unfortunately a little bit contrived ending. Nevertheless, it leaves an extra pleasant and free-thinking impression. ()

englanti At one point, Trainspotting literally emotionally nailed me to the ground and set the bar for films from the non-conformist environment and the drug scene very high. Human Traffic didn't impress me practically at all. If this is supposed to be a probe into the lives of young people today, then it has a broken drill bit and skates on the surface. I understand the popularity of this because it's such a relaxed film that doesn't force you to think, doesn't provoke, but at the same time, it's somewhat rebellious, though in a harmless way, like rural dance parties in the 80s. I don't belong to this subculture and to be honest, I find it rather annoying. The script, direction, and acting performances are, at best, average if a person doesn't feel any connection with the group of drug users. In the end, just follow the career of the individual protagonists with the director in the lead. Overall impression: 40%. ()

englanti A fairly well-captured depiction of how people behave, how they perceive their work, and how weekends are a great relief for them, essentially a temporary dose that helps them escape from routine. They look forward to them, experience them fully, and don't worry about the consequences. And then they fall back into a routine. Actually, it's kind of sad. ()
