englanti Surprisingly, it’s almost at the same level as the first part. Sure, it’s pointless, it repeats the trite rape revenge formula without bringing in anything new, etc. But what I demand from films (especially horror) is not so much originality or formal innovation, but an experience. If that works, I’m satisfied. And within the boundaries of the exploitation sub-genre, I Spit on your Grave works damn well, especially the first half, where I really sympathised with the protagonist. The second half is a bit weaker, but there was at least one scene that unsettled me a little. ISOYG2 also has some problematic moments (I immediately thought about the protagonist’s transport), but overall it’s an effective exploitation flick. 7/10 ()
