Roman Polanski: A Film Memoir is the life affirming story of both the man and the filmmaker. With touching sincerity and unprecedented access Roman details his own extraordinary life from his childhood in the Cracow ghetto, his first films in Poland, the move to Paris, his career in Europe and America - crowned with an Oscar for The Pianist, the tragedy of the murder of his pregnant wife Sharon Tate in Los Angeles, the controversy surrounding his arrest in 1977, through to his work and life today in France with his wife Emmanuelle Seigner. Filmed during Roman Polanski's house arrest in Gstaad, this is one of the most honest and revealing portraits of an artist committed to film. (Shock Entertainment)

englanti A very interesting documentary. An intimate conversation between two friends tells the story of Roman Polanski's life and hides nothing. We go through everything with him - the infamous Warsaw ghetto, life after the war, on the radio, at school in the 1950s, we watch his first films... After that comes a huge career breakthrough and of course Sharon Tate. Then soon another tragedy. But life went on, the multiple victims became the accused. Then life went on again. And it continues to this day. The 20th century was nasty to a lot of people, and the 21st century certainly won't be fair to anyone. ()
