Arkeologi Selma löytää kaivauksilla Marokossa 5000 vuotta vanhan lukitun portaalin sekä muinaisen käärön, johon kirjoitettua kieltä on mahdotonta kääntää. Kieltäydyttyään taidevälittäjä Gabrielin ostotarjouksesta, päättää Selma pitää tekstin itsellään - kuolettavin seurauksin. Selma ammutaan, mutta kuolema vie hänet kuitenkin salaperäiseen astraalimaailmaan. Selma on palannut hänen ensimmäiseen elämäänsä tarkoituksenaan sulkea hänen kaivauksillaan löytämänsä portti helvettiin lopullisesti. German underground butcher Olaf Ittenbach! When it comes to gore, Olaf is good. The gore the make-up and practical effects are all top-notch and will definitely please aficionados with a fine appetite, but the rest? Ufff.. I don't mind that the story is shit, what bothers me is that there is a story at all. When a director like Olaf is shooting a horror film and knows that the only positive aspect is gore, why waste time on something that no one here cares about. At times, the film has a really slow pace, and ultimately, there is not enough gore compared to the uninspiring babble of amateur actors. It can definitely be made more entertaining and engaging (Flowers, Hotel Inferno). 4/10.
