Romaenseuka pilyohae - Season 3

While the third I Need Romance wasn't love at first sight for me, I grew to love it over time. Too bad the main character acted more like a third wheel in the first half and I enjoyed "the other man" much, much more. Too bad it was missing the girl talk at the beginning that I had enjoyed so much in the previous two seasons. And too bad I don't like Joon Seong that much. On the other hand, So-yeon Kim was amazing. And I was pleasantly surprised by Hyo-joo Park, who until now I thought was a very weak actress. Wrong; when she gets a decent role, she can act. I also enjoyed the work of the stylists, you could see they had a lot of fun with it. And some of the dialogue in the last few episodes was extremely beautiful and deep. And it's because of them that I'm leaning towards a higher rating than I had originally planned. 3.5 stars. (08.10.2014)

It's nothing special, but if you need to soothe the soul and hear to some nice songs, this would do the trick. All the couples were interesting; they had their tribulations, but also their comic moments. Plus it had the perfect eye candy – not that I was particularly fond of the guy, but he really won me over with how well he knew his love interest. He's exactly the kind of guy who simply could never exist in real life. But I still enjoyed him and rooted for him. Overall, it captures relationships between people very nicely (probably why it makes such a good impression). What’s more, the impression of being in love isn’t ruined by kisses a la scared fish. Extra points. It won't leave you with the feeling that you've seen a gem of Korean TV, but it will definitely put a smile on your lips. Not bad at all; I'll be sure to watch the previous seasons sometime – when I'm feeling cold and need to warm up. (24.04.2014)
