A hardened detective lays low in a darkened downtown Los Angeles hotel room, biding his time as he patiently awaits a gang of vengeful hitmen that are on his tail. I like that someone is still trying to make noir films, even though this one didn't succeed. Noir just can't be this fun. Ultimately, it's essentially just a comedy in pleasant black and white, with one major advantage - excellent casting, especially with the beautiful ladies, which makes it a pleasure to watch.
