(Walt Disney Nordic Fin.)

englanti I came home from work, totally brain-dead. I turned on the TV and surprisingly, I survived in the end, even despite the fact that Planes was a total Cars copycat. But I definitely won’t be rewatching this cartoon. Those planes can roll their eyes as much as they want, but they simply won’t grow on me. ()

englanti A spin-off of the successful Cars offers cool aerial scenes and a nice atmosphere. In terms of story, it doesn’t have much to offer since it’s just a variation on a race story, this time in the sky. As far as the music is concerned… Mark Mancina is back! ()

englanti I think the more you like planes with a lower case "p", the more you will like Planes. At least I did. I guess I'm just not an animation expert to say that Planes looks worse than the first Cars, and I guess I can just rise (literally) above the fact that the story is not original (I like how a lot of people complained exactly about this regarding Cars and suddenly forgot about it or something)... Thanks to that child in my head, I can still have fun, I can still admire dozens of ideas, jokes and gags (don't tell me they're not there!), I can still keep my fingers crossed for the main character, even though I know how everything will turn out. But is it the same as in many other films, from comics and westerns to action movies - or does the so-called unimaginative nature of these films not bother anyone? As far as the technical aspects are concerned, I was extremely impressed with Planes. The aerial scenes look great, the action scenes are extremely dynamic and any film can envy them, and there's an excellent score by Mark Mancina... The dubbing wasn't particularly stellar, but John Cleese was a delight, as was the sexy female voice of the Indian plane. The whole passage in India with the sacred tractors and flocks of gliders was probably the most magical. Four pure stars. ()

englanti In "Planes" it is clear that it is based on the Pixar hit "Cars". It is primarily a commercially successful brand, so why not tap into this brand a little and make "Planes"? In the next ten years, we can look forward to "Trains", "Buses", and "Ships", there is also talk of "Rockets". I don't enjoy these movies. I'm sorry. Visually, it's great. Disney would be very disappointed if they underestimated the visual side, on the other hand, airplanes are not that difficult to animate, they have a fairly smooth surface. In terms of the plot, it's banal. An absolute classic about how one outsider can make a mark on the world. Well, I still have "Turbo" ahead of me and I have a feeling that it will be going from bad to worse. ()
