Kolme ryöstäjää tunkeutuu yllättäen pieneen ravintolaan. He etsivät jotain, joka on heille paljon arvokkaampaa kuin pelkkä raha. Ruokalan kassaholvi on kuitenkin suojattu aikalukolla, mikä ei jätä roistoille muuta vaihtoehtoa kuin odottaa. Ravintolaa ympäröivien poliisien vuoksi ryöstöoperaatio muuttuu nopeasti tiukaksi panttivankidraamaksi. Eivätkä rosvot ole suinkaan ainoita paikan asiakkaita, keitä kassakaapin sisältö kiinnostaa... A film with an interesting cast. That's how the movie "Pawn" could definitely be characterized. There are quite a few familiar faces in it, including the Oscar-winning face of Forest Whitaker. However, even the relatively good cast cannot save the mediocrity of this film. The interesting premise is fragmented into a film so corrupt that you can't trust anyone, but in the end, it leads to the fact that the whole twist is actually expected because there is no one here who is clean. It's a shame, as there could have been a more intriguing drama unfolding in this small space.
