The first Monster High movie still looks the same as the first episodes of the series, it just has a longer runtime. It's nice, fast, dynamic, and in 2D. We meet a newcomer to the school, Frankie Stein, and her classmates. They're all amazingly cool, but the main thing is that it's absolutely well-written. The barely 20-minute story captured the newbies’ first week at the school quite well and hinted at everything that the whole phenomenon would then benefit from until 2017. Essentially, a huge amount of work was put into New Ghoul at School. In addition, anyone who likes an American high school setting with elements of Glee will give it an extra star. And those who understand all the pop culture references can go ahead and give it full stars.
