Les Misérables in Concert - The 25th Anniversary Event was recorded live from London’s famous O2 theater on October 3, 2010. Les Misérables has been seen by nearly 60 million people worldwide in 42 countries and 21 languages and is the third longest running show on Broadway after 'The Phantom of the Opera' and 'Cats'. First produced in 1985 at London’s Barbican Centre and based on the novel by Victor Hugo, the musical Les Misérables follows the characters as they struggle for redemption and revolution in early nineteenth-century France. I really like this musical, much more than the film version, which simply didn't sit well with me. Musically, it is absolutely fantastic, and Colm Wilkinson's presence is always a delight. His voice is simply breathtaking and he was definitely the best Valjean. The ending is incredibly beautiful, just like "One Day More".
