Juonikuvaukset(1)

Tricia's husband has been missing for seven years. Her younger sister Callie comes to live with her as the pressure mounts to finally declare him 'dead in absentia.' As Tricia sifts through the wreckage and tries to move on with her life, Callie finds herself drawn to an ominous tunnel near the house. As she begins to link it to other mysterious disappearances, she comes to the realization that his presumed death might be anything but 'natural.' Soon it becomes clear that the ghostly force at work in the tunnel might have set its sights on Callie and Tricia too. (Phase 4 Films)

englanti Though it feels longer than it actually is, Absentia is an engrossing mystery with a disturbingly realistic and dark dimension that is thoroughly laid bare by the screenwriting and direct. You get your money’s worth with this one. ()

englanti If you like American, low budget, indie horror stuff, I can wholeheartedly recommend this. Absentia is a very good movie that relies on two likeable protagonists, has a very well developed plot and an atmosphere that is pretty thick at times. I was scared, I was afraid. Mike Flanagan delivers a very good directorial job (it’s not even by chance amateurishly made, as I had read) and I’m already looking forward to his next genre films. ()
