I hate luv storys is the maxim Jay lives by. But as an assistant director to Veer, the most famous romantic filmmaker of Indian Film Industry, Jay has little option but to live with larger than life, glossy, cinematic love on an everyday basis. Things only get worse when he is made to work under the new production designer on the film Simran, with whom he shares the strangest first encounter!
Simran loves luv storys; So much so that even her life has begun to resemble one. With her ideal job and the perfect boyfriend, Raj, she lives a blissful, dreamy life; One that is rudely interrupted by Jay's cynicism. The turmoil's of Jay and Simran's life, is ironically interweaved with the Luv Story that they are working on. (jakelijan virallinen teksti)

englanti This is actually a real-life story because before Punit Malhotra took up this one, for which he wrote the screenplay, he was an assistant director for films such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Tomorrow May Never Come, and Riddle. That says absolutely everything. Sonam is a pretty doll in the display case, Imran is gradually turning into a great comedy actor, and once I get organized, I'm going to get myself some of those self-reflective Bollywood Sucks t-shirts :D I just want to know if this was really the first Bollywood film to be shot in New Zealand. The film Love, Love, Love, which the director dedicated to his mother, must have really been something. ()
