Good Ol' Boy

In 1979 a family from India moves to a small town in America. As the family straddles the fine line between preserving their Indian heritage and embracing the American Dream, Smith, their 10-year-old son, sneaks out for Kentucky Fried Chicken (even though his family is vegetarian), dons a Saturday Night Fever costume and falls head-over-heels with Amy, the girl next door, whose dad Butch, is just the all-American cowboy he wishes his own father could be.
