Ame to shōjo to watashi no tegami

Ame to Shoujo to Watashi no Tegami: Short Short Story is a full six-minutes long, so it did not really have much time to become annoying, as it would have been extremely irritating if the running time had been much longer. I guess this movie is mostly aimed at girls, and so it sort of discusses the feelings of the young female protagonist, who gets her first response to a love letter, in a rather peculiar way. For a number of reasons, like the fact she wants to be a novelist, it immediately gets to her. Her thought processes and associations are quite strange, as is the denouement, which I think I did manage to get, even though I did not get much out of it. The only scene that amused me a little was when the little girl pulled up her suitcase to sleep in (along with what happened just before it). The illustrations are really amateurish, although I could even forgive that because I suspect this was not a project made under the auspices of a major (or any) studio. The soundtrack is also pretty bad. I have seen a lot of much better short anime movies, and this one did not impress me at all, so I am ending up at 3/10 because it really is not very good.
