F

After Eden Lake and The Children, another British contribution to the genre where the main villains are minors (probably…). While the first of those two films is exploitation and the second is pure chilling horror, this one is more or less a slasher where a scattered group wonders into a school building and gradually becomes smaller. Although I feel that there are better things the Brits should do with their troublesome youths than making films, as an impartial viewer I can’t complain. F is a solidly tense horror thriller and it’s quite a pity that it’s not longer. The sudden ending, though, is pretty nice and unexpected, as long as it is not only meant as a open gate for a sequel.
