Lycée Jules Ferry is the worst high school in France. Even the best teachers failed to turn things around. Recruiting a new team is the last chance to save it, a rather unusual team: the worst pupils will be taught by the worst teachers. The students of Jules Ferry High school have defied every attempt to improve their school's standing. In despair, the chairman of the Board of Education accepts his deputy's suggestion to fight fire with fire by sending the most inept teachers to raise the bar at the country's worst high school. Beautiful Amina, enigmatic Maurice, accident-waiting-to-happen Albert and comatose Cutiro join forces with sports-mad Eric, plain mad Gladys and Polochon, a wannabe history teacher and fulltime Napoleon fanatic, to lift the school's success rate above 50%. Little do they suspect that dark forces are at work behind their appointment! (HBO Europe)

englanti Have you seen the German comedy Suck Me Shakespeer? Well, Serial Teachers is exactly the same thing only French and at least two levels wackier. There are some weaker bits among all those scenes, but I essentially laughed my head off from beginning to end. Getting to know France’s worst teachers is brutal and it’s great that every single one of them is a true character. I’d say that my favorite was the PE teacher, who loves sport and who isn’t afraid to show his students that sport is everywhere they look. It’s been ages since I had such a relaxing time like with this movie. ()

englanti The French are shining again. I can see now where Suck Me Shakespeer got its inspiration. A local school is in trouble and threatened with closure, so they decide to hire the worst professors instead of the best, and that's what I call a perfect idea for a comedy. All of the professors are well chosen and the entertainment is immediately taken care of. I enjoyed the scruffy gym teacher, the seductive French teacher, the History professor who only cared about Napoleon, and the Philosophy professor whom no one understood was also good. I laughed a lot. 80%. ()
