Nuori Nell Sweetzer yrittää rakentaa elämänsä uudestaan kotitilallaan kokemiensa kauhunhetkien jälkeen. Tyttö ei muista hirvittävistä tapahtumista juuri mitään, mutta tietää koko perheensä kuolleen taistelussa paholaista ja tätä palvoneita ihmisiä vastaan. Nell aloittaa alusta Davreaux'ssa, New Orleansissa. Hän saa katon päänsä päälle, työn ja poikaystävän. Elämä näyttää vihdoin hymyilevän. Ilo jää kuitenkin lyhytaikaiseksi. Riivaaja ei ole unohtanut Nelliä, vaan tahtoo tämän takaisin – vielä aiempaakin kammottavammalla tavalla... (Future film)

An extremely forced whole of nothing, a massive drop from a very decent first part. Part II has absolutely nothing interesting. It doesn’t bring in anything new, uses the same clichéd motifs to scare – those we know from loads of other movies about ghosts or exorcism – and on top of that, the protagonist has nothing that would generate any sympathy towards her. Boring, boring, nothing. 3/10

"The Last Exorcism 2" is simply an unnecessary film that was probably made because exorcism horror movies are popular again these days. This has resulted in an abundance of such films, and in such a quantity it becomes evident that only a few of them are actually worth watching. "The Last Exorcism 2" is not one of them because it is not capable of creating the right atmosphere. Scenes that you have already seen elsewhere will hardly scare you a second time.
