englanti Overall, this is an average film that relies on the performance of Peter O'Toole. He was at the peak of his creative powers and popularity, but he couldn't save the film by himself, as it has a toothless script and jokes. Furthermore, the film isn't well anchored in one genre; 3/4 of its duration feels like a comedic retro from the early days of television, effectively overshadowing Woody Allen's Radio Days, only to turn into a crazy farce in the end, where gangsters battle with the ensemble of actors on stage in front of the cameras. Ironically, this outrageous ending saves it and earns it 3 weak stars. Overall impression: 50%. ()
